Firsts

Yesterday was a very eventful day as far as firsts go. J got her library card..she was soo excited, she's holding onto it all day. F tied his shoes on the first try, which deserved a call to his father at work. Today we are watching this very cool web site, Africam, where you can watch animals in an African private game reserve. The time difference is 7 hours which F loves to check when we log on. He tries to figure out the time in Africa when the time here is 7 pm, 1 pm etc. Today we have seen so far an elephant, a herd of zebras, and a herd of yaks ( or something that looked like a yak :) ), a turtle and birds. The kids love to watch the animals. F also did some math in his work books, wrote his sight words, and colored in his Native Americans coloring book. Now the kids are playing with blocks, F gets very creative with them, he makes all kids of animlas, boats, trains and stuff. They are all dancing, listening to the Mickey mouse club on a cd. And it's only 11:30 am.... Later we are hoping to do science experiments. I noticed that he was much more interested in the tv and video games when he was in school, now he is much more creative and plays with his toys, games and uses his imagination more. He also plays much more with his sisters; home schooling has brough us closer together, which I love.
