Happy New year

We had a nice quiet New Years eve. We stayed up 'till 1 am watching TV, saw the ball drop, threw lots of confetti in the air, and ate our traditional hot dogs and pigs in a blanket... all with MSG, and nitrite free hot dogs of course lol.

The kids and I have been taking it easy at home, doing minimal work I'm afraid, but have plans to start strong on Monday. F has done some math and some grammar though, and we are still reading books on occasion. We have been playing lots of board games and Professor Noggin games and just trying to hibernate for the cold winter months :). It has snowed again but not enough for us to actually go outside and play in :(.

Yesterday F got to help his father replace tiles in the bathroom and he was actually excited. I was glad to see him be excited about doing work around the house. He was daddy's helper, helping him scrape the grout, hand him tools, clean up the mess, and watching him put the tiles back on. Shop class is taken care of.....
