Thursday

It's been a little while since I've written, I just haven't been in much of a mood to write. We are doing well as far as home schooling, J is really into learning all kinds of things, F is doing his daily math and we have started doing much more science activities, and readings, playing different board games, F really likes 20 questions in Nature and Science that we bough for $3 last summer from Goodwill :).
He has started playing the Travel pod travel IQ game on line again, the site gives him a city, country to pinpoint on a world map and he has to pick the exact place to get the most points he can. There are 12 levels and so far he has made it up to level 11 and has gotten over 540,000 points... not bad considering he is in the 3rd grade and the average point for each answer is abt 300-1000. I was so proud of him, one of his friend's older brother who is in the 8Th grade scored in the 490,000's. I know he felt good when he beat his score :)
We are reading about Vietnam at this time for the geography club and J is doing her usual report on animals for it, this time F picked the climate/weather.
We had a nice play date on Monday when the weather was really good for playing in the park, so the kids met up with their friend C and E and we hung out for a while, then went over to the library and did food shopping afterwards.

F is missing some of his friends whom we have seen in a few month because of the weather, illnesses (on their part) and such. I am so waiting for Spring to start so we can do so much more.
I have plans for outings, will make it a regular park day at least once a week, volunteer at a community garden not that far from here etc etc....
