tennis

Wednesday was the last day of tennis, the kids and I are disappointed. They had such a great time playing games. learning tennis moves and having fun with friends.... someone found a big green Caterpillar and all the kids flocked to it and tried to feed it leaves and watch it move. J was soo excited, she had never seen one that big before... F learned how to play tennis with an opponent, so we should be able to play together in the morning once fall comes....

We walked to the thrift store afterwards and got a few board games.. including a Connect 4 that was brand new. I love spending a $1 on a brand new game. The kids have been playing with it ever since (including right now). When we got home DH came home and we ate a quick snack then went of to Staples to buy notebooks for 1 penny each, so we bought 12 of them. I love their back to school sales, and am waiting for the one next week.. The kids loved buying their own notebooks with money found on the ground outside....

Tuesday I took A for her Dr. appt for her booster shot immunizations, and J's glasses got broken (not her fault) so I took them in to be replaced. She has to wait a week and was very upset because now she won't look like mommy w/o them. awwww my poor baby...

F has been doing some math, and copy writing and reading from the US history text book DH found (brand new) that is geared towards the 5Th grade. F loves it and reads from it daily.. I love getting free books :). Especially ones that we can use for years to come for our home schooling.
