Party, friends and playdates

We threw a b day party for F yesterday. He had 4 of his friends there and had a great time playing, running around and just being kids. We had pizza and cake and ended up walking to the nearby playground for more running around. All in all it lasted for 4 hours and it was so nice to see the mommies too. F's friend W was so funny and great, he made the party so much fun :). All the boys are so nice and friendly and polite and just such great kids, I'm so glad. J and A had fun too with all the balloons, making balloon animals and then in the park W's older sis J (same name as my J) walked around with my girls , pushed them on the swing and watched over them. I was so glad that a 13 yo was so interested in making sure my girls had fun in the park as well. F got some really nice presents and was sad that the day ended... he reminisced about his party today in the car on the way to dance class.. "oh, I remember my party like it was yesterday... oh it was yesterday!" LOL

J had a play date with her bff F a few days ago in the park after school, the girls ran around for over an hour having a good time :). F found a friend there as well so all had a nice time, the weather was so nice.

Tuesday was the last plant propagation class and J planted seeds in a big egg carton, she planted corn, cilantro, tomatoes and Mexican sunflowers... now I have to figure out where to re plant them when the time comes... umm corn in an apartment lol we will most likely use it as an experiment to see what the roots and leaves etc look like at different intervals...

Me and F started reading 20,000 leagues under the sea last week, all kids did math this week read books about grassland biomes as well as Deciduous forest biomes. Watched 'Life' on the Discovery channel which prompted lots of discussions about various animals and the niche in their habitats. J started a story about an onion and his friends, so far she drew and wrote 4 pages and is hoping to finish the whole 12 that she wants to do. Girls went to dance class today and had a good time, you could hear them having fun outside of the class.

We have been busy this week and loving it!! This is what home schooling is.. reading, fun math, science, cooking together, nature shows, discussions, writing, drawing, arts and crafts, dance, friends, fun and just enjoying life together as a family every day.
