Well so far our unschooling approach seems to be working better for F. He has been more relaxed with 'school'.
We went to the park on Tuesday, read a few more books, did some simple math problems. On Wed. we went to the library for RIF and then they ran around in the park and looked for worms. The kids got really excited when they found one :). Me and F did some online work pages on worms a few days ago and he has been interested in them since.
The weather was gorgeous these last few days. Today we did errands and F was digging in the ground on the way to the post office and he found 3 worms so we stopped and studied them for a few minutes. J has been playing her alphabet park games more and she is learning to recognize some of her letters. She knows P, X, and O by sight. We have been reading together a lot more lately, she really loves the library. We bought them some more books last week.
We borrowed a book on Spain, that is the country he picked to read more about.
So he did some work pages on it today, as well as multiplication, he has also been interested in doing some simple division, but we are taking it easy. He also did a lot of counting with money( practice makes perfect) we have also been going over the importance of saving money. He did his U.S. states capitals puzzle and got 32 of them right so far.
I emailed my 3rd quarterly a few days ago, and have not heard anything about it so I'm assuming it's fine.
I basically did the same as I did for the 2Nd and that was accepted.
Well i'm hoping that the weather isn't so bad on Saturday beacuse we have an activity planned .
