We got back a few hours ago from a very good game day with the home school group, we went to Long Island, did a little food shopping before hand , then met the group at the park. F played with all the boys including his good friend W, and J made a new friend, who she played with the entire time. I was so glad she found someone to play with that was abt. her age, the girl is 5. The kids played shuffle board, and go fish and checkers, the other kids rode on their scooters and F tried out W's skateboard. The moms sat outside and talked, it was such a nice day abt. 78. Finally no rain :) I really like that there is a variety of age groups at the gatherings...it's anywhere from infant to 13 and they play pretty well together.
We didn't make it to the library today for RIF, to tired.
Yesterday I found a web site for math games and me and F played on it for an hour, it has adding, subtraction, multiplication, and division in various levels from easy to monster hard. We only did the addition and multiplication games, and we got a tie score of 15 right each. It was fun, so I saved it in my favorites file for use many more times.
F has been doing more writing lately as well, we did a short lesson on Letter Illuminations, and he copied a part of it into his notebook.
F has been reading A and J various short stories and doing a lot more informal reading as well.
We bought a bigger pot to plant our red bean plant into, so we will be doing that today.
