Busy Busy

We have been pretty busy this week, went to yoga on Tuesday, F tired it as well and actually had a good time. Then we played for about an hour, came home, got off the bus because it got too crowded..hate that..and waked home abt. 10 blocks, which the kids enjoyed. F said that we should do that more often now that it's getting warmer :). We usually walk every where anyway.... on the walk home we saw definite signs of spring, budding trees, plants starting to bloom soon, J took some tree leave buds home and is keeping them as 'pets' so cute.... she wants them to grow into leaves and flowers. I explained to her a few times that once it is off the tree it will stay a bud and won't grow but she is still hoping..so she puts it in the sun and sprinkles water on it... I love her innocence.

Wednesday we started doing graphs for F's math week. He got it pretty fast, we used some pages from Edhelper, he also got his books together and sorted them into categories and then made his own graph. We finished the Journey to the Center of the Earth. We borrowed the movie from netflix and it was so great to hear him say that reading the books was so much better. :) He really loves to read now, it is so good to see him read all the time!
He also did a few pages in his workbook this week, a few on math and some on science. He has been playing with his soldiers, making things out of his blocks, making obstacle courses for his marbles with intricate passages.... things like that.

Friday I had a Dr. appt, did errands by myself, while daddy took care of the kids, I cleaned with my new vacuum cleaner that we got Friday afternoon, then we went to J's make up dance class.
Saturday we went to J's regular dance class and then to the book store to buy a present for my niece's daughter's b day party, then came home changed clothes, then off to the party we went. I bought the 2ND 'Diary of a wimpy kid' book for F who started reading it in the car on the way home, took it with him to the party and read in the car on the way there. :) He is abt. half way done tonight, he reads at night before bed.

He also did a book report on the 'Journey' book today as well as some more graph math. I am encouraging him to be more expressive with his ideas and thoughts, he has a hard time putting his thoughts on paper and doing the book reports will help him to be a little more expressive.

J has been playing/learning a lot with her Reader rabbit software and doing some of her own kindergarten workbook pages. She also found some nice games on Pbskids.com and has been learning her letter sounds and her numbers among other things.
A has been playing, watching TV, playing her V smile and 'reading' with mommy. I can't wait until the girls learn to read and we can do more with the books that I'd love to read to them. There are a lot of books with A's name as the title character that I can't wait to buy and her to her.
