Upstate NY

We went upstate on Friday to visit the step kids and the grandson :). It was a long drive. The kids had a great time though with their sisters and nephew. They jumped on the trampoline, ran around in the big yard, went swimming in the creek and got to hold baby kittens.
It was nice to see the kids again and spend some quality time. All 3 kids love K (the grandson) who is 5 like J and will be going to school next week... he is so excited I hope his excitement doesn't get squashed by the home work and expectations for him to sit in a class room for 6 hours a day. He is very smart and inquisitive and loves to run around and is really not scared of much... he is a very cute little kid and I love him. I wish I could convince his mommy to home school him :).
We did some more stocking up for this upcoming HS year, bought more glue .17c each, note books .10c each, rulers etc..... we have enough for the year and then some....

Yesterday A decided she wanted to do her big wooden alphabet puzzle so we sat on the living room floor and worked on it.. she is learning some more letters and is very excited when she knows one :). J and her also worked on some wooden spelling puzzles that I bought for her for x mas. She is learning how to spell C-O-W.... and such words. We covered the sounds of some letters... she said O-W makes the same sounds as when you are saying OW when you get hurt...
she is a smart cookie :)

F worked on some fractions and we read another chapter of his Odyssey book.
I am working on the geography club I am running for the fall/winter. We will be studying Canada for Sept. we have a few new members and hopefully all will go well.....
