What part of Thanksgiving Are you?

You Are Mashed Potatoes

Ordinary, comforting, and more than a little predictable
You're the glue that holds everyone together.

We had a very nice Thanksgiving, my mom came over around noon and played with the kids for hours while I cooked.... she kept asking me what she could do to help and I kept saying play with the kids lol

I love cooking for Thanksgiving every year and this year the big chicken tasted even better. J is old enough to notice that we have a tradition going for the holidays, I always make the big roasted chicken and stuffed potatoes among other things. So she asked for the potatoes for Thanksgiving a few weeks ago. I am glad that she remembers that I make this every year for this and for X mas. I want my kids to remember their childhood as one filled with traditions that mom and dad made. She helped with the filings for the potatoes and loved every minute of it.... there was broccoli, cheese, butter, scallions and sour cream. It was soo good :)
We all ate until we were full then went back for some more.

It was really nice and peaceful with my mom here, she spent the night and then this morning we decided to go to the Brooklyn Aquarium. J and A have been asking to go for weeks and it's always too cold, rainy or just not a good day to go, so we decided to go ahead today as a family outing. It was so nice, a little cool but not too cold, and they had a blast especially watching the sharks and giant turtle and giant sting ray. F took lots of pictures :)
The kids have been doing more math this week as well as lots of reading, we read at least 3 books nightly now. F and I are still reading The Swiss family Robinson among other stories.
