Recap

wow it's been such a long time since I've posted.. I didn't realize how long...

I have to start getting into the hang of posting at least 1 a week to recap our week

Easter was good, had my mom over and kids colored eggs and made funny faces and bodies for them...Also saw some family the few days before, last Friday the kids had a really good time with A's God mother (their cousin) as well as their God father last Saturday. My brother came down from Florida for a few days last Wed. and the kids loved seeing him, he took us for ice cream, played with them, and just had fun :). This past Friday we made last minute change of plans and went to the BX zoo, spent 5 1/2 hour walking around and learning about the various animals. The gorillas were our favorite and the girls spent quite a good amt of time learning about them and about conservation.

I started a new thing with J this past week, she's been writing a few sentences every day about what she did the day before, as well as finding mistakes in sentences that I write for her..she likes grammar too. Covering nouns and verbs with her is easy...
She finished her fairy chapter book and has started another one, we are still reading The 1st book from the little house on the prairie series.
F and I finished The War of the worlds and have started reading White Fang.
Math is covered every day thru the IXL program and some work books.

For science F and I made an ant farm, and are growing beans, tomatoes and carrots so far, have been doing lots of composting.

I had at elast another 3 long paragraphs written out but the blog froze and I lost it.. so I'll finish this up some other day when I'm not exhaused and irritetd and can think straight!!
