trips

The Brooklyn Art Museum was next on our trip list,  the last time we went there for a tour of the Normal Rockwell exhibit, each parent got a few free passes for students and their families. I used one of the passes and we got in for free, we toured the Egyptian wing mostly and the kids learned more about mummies and scrolls and J tried to read some of the hieroglyphs, which is not easy to do! There are so many different varieties and some pictures that look the same mean different things depending on the context they are used in! But we had a really nice time, we then took a walk to the carousel, which is always fun, then played at the Lefferts house. F and I learned even more about it this time around, and the girls enjoyed dressing up as colonials and playing with the toys.
