Iditarod

Yesterday was the start of the Alaskan Iditarod, which is a dog sled race. F has been interested in Alaska and I got a short printout about this race as well as the map they are using to race from Anchorage to Nome. We have done various work sheets on Alaska over the past few months. It's very cool, at this point it is 0 degrees Fahrenheit there. I am not complaining about our 37 degrees lol.
F is now watching a dvd on Antarctica and the animals that live there. I think we have a pattern here... he also did 3 work pages on basic math today as well as his sight words. I took it easy with him today because we did some work yesterday, (we usually don't do 'school' on Saturdays. We got the 2 professor Noggin's card games on Friday so we played the one with ancient civilizations. The girls were asleep so it was a nice game with F, me and my husband.
We were supposed to go for the hs art class on Friday but F wasn't feeling so good, he coughed the whole night before, and some the day of. I think it might have been a case of nerves. He doesn't do well when he doesn't really know what to expect. Next time we will just attend the class anyway (unless he is really sick of course), he needs to get used to the fact that hs is much more relaxed than regular school.
