Well J LOVED her first dance class, like we knew she would. She fit right in, and did as well as she could it being her first time in a group setting, with a teacher.
She did the warm up exercises and then followed the other children during the dance/creative movement part. We will go again next Friday, but then the next classes aren't until September... so disappointing :)
I took some pictures then my batteries died....
It was nice class, very small and it involved music with some dance techniques, creative movement, and play.
It's exactly what we are looking for at this time for her, so hopefully it will go well in September.
Saturday me and F went to NYC for a revolutionary war walking tour of lower Manhattan. the guide took us to various parts and told us the significance of it during the war. we got to see the church George Washington prayed in after his inauguration in 1789. We had a nice time, it took an hour and a half and then we went to Battery park and F saw the old fort, Castle Garden again, played in the water sprinklers and then decided to go on the Staten Island ferry ride. F was so excited about the boat ride, it was cute. We were out for the whole day almost.
Today we went to the park with another hs mom and her 3 kids, it was so hot it was great for the kids to run in the water. I had a nice time talking with the other mom,F and J played with their friends and A played on the jungle gym and ran through the water.
Me and F read a little more about Egyptian food when we got home and watched a history show about the Civil War. I am doing some beginning planning to the National civil war Museum in PA for the coming 'school' year. It's about 3 hours drive and from the pictures very interesting.
I am doing some more research into various other historical places we can visit in NY. I found a few in Queens, Brooklyn and Staten island that we will be visiting, most of them a very low cost (works for me) and fun!
