Summer

Well it's finally 'summer' with the temps. continuously in the 80's... I am already looking forward to Fall.
The kids and I have been playing tennis, playing soccer, having fun with friends, running around in the park, going to the library, doing some traditional, home schooling, reading a lot. The girls have their last dance class tomorrow and then we are off until the middle of September.

F has been reading a lot of Goosebumps and Magic tree house research guides. J is trying to read everything and likes to show me that she can spell some 2, 3 letter words. A is demonstrating that she can add and subtract small numbers when she needs to... we have 5 ppl in the family and with grandma we have 6, there were 3 baby bird eggs and 2 didn't survive.. "so mommy that means only 1 is alive?"
We have never sat down and went over mathematical facts with her.. F taught her a little bit a few weeks ago on the blackboard and I guess she has listened in to various conversations and lessons.

I bought a lot of the books we will be using for the upcoming year, and am excited to be starting our third year.
