starting great

We have had a very good start so far of our school year :).
I finally sat down and made a chore chart for all of us and the kids picked the chores they wanted to do. Each child has at least 4 chores to do daily or every 2 days or so.. I realized that I have about 12 things that are pretty much my chores for the house...
They did a great job starting this morning.
We got reading done for J and F as well as copy writing for F. Also watched a short thing on Brazil on the DVR...
DH had to work overnight again so he is now sleeping so we are going to the playground for a break then back home to do math and possibly some history.
Yesterday we met up with B and M (homeschooling friends) and went to the Bklyn botanic gardens. We had such a great time exploring, learning about various plants and where a lot of our food comes from, running around, talking, F and his friend M had a good time making a dam in one of the streams. We spent about 4 hours there, got a ride home from B, made dinner and did household chores with A who is such a great helper.. she says she loves being a mommy it's so much fun! :) I love my little girl! By 9 I was so tired.
