I love the holiday season... I can't believe another year has gone by... and that my A will be 6. I am not dealing with it very well, especially when it really looks like she will be our last baby.
Christmas shopping is done except for daddy's present, which will get bought in the next few days. The kids are excited about the presents and the family and the yummy food for x mas eve :).
We are still doing our daily homeschooling, especially math with IXL and reading, me and F have started reading a biography about Albert Einstein, J is reading Magic tree house and we will start reading The Nutcracker soon as well. The girls had their yearly dance recital yesterday and they did very well, it was so cute seeing all the little kids dance. J has grown so much in her dancing ability and her capacity for remembering simple choreography. Dance classes are over for the next few month though so we can hang out and focus on homeschooling during the cold weather.
Tonight is the lunar eclipse and also the winter solstice, there hasn't been a lunar eclipse at the same time as the solstice in 400 years. I plan on waking the kids up early tomorrow morning(2:30 am) to see the moon at it's peak, when it's blood red. Hopefully we will be able to see it and it won't be too cloudy... then tomorrow we can do a lesson plan on the moon. Gotta love homeschooling :).
