We went for a day trip upstate a few days ago to visit my step daughter and our grandson. It is such a beautiful place, we went for a nice hike up the Vreen's nose mountain. This is the view from the top of the mountain. I always enjoy seeing them and the kids love each other and play together very nicely.. jumping on the trampoline, digging in the yard and just being kids... it helps that they are close in age :).I always reflect on how we are able to do so much and be with family so much more because we homeschool. My step daughter took her 7 yo out of school for the day so we could spend the whole day together, and my 3 kids got to have school outdoors that day, learning about the environment around them.
