My kids on the ice slide at the BX zoo, they had a great time.

DH got a good picture of the male lion, finally. It seems a lot of the animals are out more as the weather gets cooler. I love having a membership to the zoos, we can go all through out the year, and we get our money's worth since we visit all of them a lot during the year. 

There is so much to learn at the zoo, and the kids all enjoy the various animals a lot. A has narrowed her occupation down to a zoo keeper or a vet when she grows up. Basically anything to do with animals.  It is so gratifying to see my kids want to learn about so many different things, and have the option of what they would like to know about. 

Right now F is interested in the great Irish famine, so we are reading this book, which has a lot of interesting details and it is written for kids ages 10 and up so it is geared for a 6th grade reading level or above.
