Museum
Well It's Cold outside...... I am not too thrilled with it..:) I'm just waiting for snow that the kids can play in, then spring can come. I took J to the Brooklyn Children's museum on Friday, she got to play( make pizza, pretend play, explore) and do a little art work. Not as much as we were told she would be able to do... they are renovating the 'totally tots' area until Feb 10Th. It was nice though, we got to spend some mommy and J quality time. We did some shopping for a cousin's baby shower and ate pizza. She loves the bus, and train. We got a membership to the museum for a year, which also get us in to the Queens hall of science free. She has also been playing a lot of her Care Bears V-Smile game, and learning all of her shapes, she knows all of her colors already. She's learning to count to 15, without making mistakes. It's great. F has been doing math work sheets, and keeping up with his planets research notebook. He also did a science experiment the other day, and recorded it in his science note book. He has had a spelling test, which is a weekly thing. We also started a Spanish notebook for him, with a Spanish word for the day that he writes down and learns to pronounce. He also bought a CD of his favorite song, Hotel California, by The Eagle's. He is doing very well in regards to learning about money. We have been playing a lot at home also on account of the cold weather. It was actually too cold for us to walk to the library this past Wed., so we didn't get to go to the RIF program. But we read a lot of books so it makes up for it. We are going this Wed. though. We have books to return, which means that I have to copy some of them so we can use them for future reference.
