cooking

I told my husband that I'd blog about his rice so here I am :). yesterday was a nice hot day so I did laundry in the morning and we basically just hung out at home the rest of the day. We cleaned up a little played a lot of games and I took a 15 minute nap, woke up to some good smelling food. My husband is a great cook, he always has been but he hasn't cooked a lot lately. He works too many hours... it's OK because I love to cook but I miss his cooking. He decided yesterday to cook a big pot of curried rice, oh my God it was so good I told him I'd write about it, lol
The kids loved it too, I made some beans to go with it and J ate 3 bowls through out the day. I had 3 as well. We actually did not have any leftovers :(.

Friday we took the girls for their makeup dance class, then to Trader Joes for some food shopping. I love that store....
Saturday was regular dance class and then we drove to Home Depot and bought $40 worth of plants to add to the 6 plants we already had at home. I plan to fill up my apartment with as many plants as I can. :)

The kids are reading, doing math and learning a lot about trees, birds and nature. I bought a tree guide for the eastern part of the USA and F takes it everywhere so he can try and identify the trees he sees. So far we have about 4 different kind of trees in our neighborhood. We have to wait until their leaves come out more so we can properly tell which trees they are.
