Home schooling

Ok I have one issue with home schooling, well it's not with home schooling per Se but about people's perceptions about what it means. It does not mean 'oh she's home schooling, let's drop by unannounced and see if she can watch my 3 yo old while I go get my older son from school for 2 hours...' this made me so angry... i told her sorry no we had to go out, and that you know we do do school work at home even thought we home school... I don't think she got the point though.. so now I have to explain to her that it's not a good idea to just drop by because she could be interrupting our school work and that's not good. ARGHHHH

Anyway... F is spending the next 2 days with my mom and the girls are going to dance today so they are home with us. We did a nice amount of schooling yesterday.. all 3 kids did Math, J some number patterns, counting and adding, A counting and number recognition and F did averages, and 3/4 digit multiplication. Also I have been getting F used to doing some copy work daily, he is actually not complaining too much about it and is enjoying it. He gets to pick 1 or 2 paragraphs from whatever book he'd like and write it in his notebook. Yesterday he picked The Winter War, about the WWII attack on Finland in 1939. He also does a page of grammar almost daily too.

The kids are watching the Life after People series weekly now and asking lots of questions... playing lots of games, scrabble, Upword, trouble etc.
