First grade

I sent in the paperwork for J. to be registered as an official home schooler. I received the paperwork that they needed on Saturday and had the copies of birth certificate and such out the same day. Once they get it and have her in their computers she will be official, and I'll have to file paperwork for her every year from now until she is 17..... makes me a little sad that she is growing up... but happy that she is so excited and that she is really interested in reading and math and science and everything in between... she loves to learn and to discover things and to just explore her world around her. I am happy that she realizes that she doesn't need to go to school to be smart and to learn things.

F already knows this and is thriving... I bought him a book on sea monsters, the non fiction companion to one of the Magic tree house books, on Saturday and he has already finished it.... he loves to read, and I wonder all the time if he would be this way if he went to school and had to read the books they picked for him to read as opposed to what he was interested in.

I am looking forward to September and having 2 officially home schooled student in the house :). I actually don't mind the paperwork.
