The kids are loving the warmer weather we had the last few days. After my washing machine and dryer were finally delivered (after 1 month of waiting) we got dressed and took the bikes and scooter outside. It was so nice out, we explored a little of our new neighborhood, it's very quiet here during the day which we all love. After about 45 minute outside we came in and started our home schooling. F and I read 1 more chapter of 21 balloons, A did some math/coloring and J read from her Bob books. Her reading is improving a lot and she is happy. F also did a workbook page in his geography book, he is having trouble expressing himself. It's very hard for me to watch because he gets very frustrated and thinks he doesn't know the answers to something and that's not the case. He just doesn't know how to write down what he is thinking. But we are working on it, and he will get there.
Tuesday was Julia's plant propagation class, and she planted a Jade and Mint plants, and learned about how to care for them. They also read poems about nature to the kids, J After class we all went to Bryant park, which was somewhat of a disappointment to the kids as there is no grass yet, the field was used for fashion week so it's all sandy and roped off. But they still had some fun, playing tag, and going on the carousel. J had 2 of her friends there and they talked, and traded Pokemon cards.
Monday I took the kids to a new park/playground ten blocks from our apt. It in a nice playground and the kids had a great time running around, swinging and playing games. We also discovered a library on the way home. It was such a beautiful day, A enjoyed looking for signs of Spring with me. In the morning we did some home schooling, A and I covered letter sounds and math, and the other 2 did math in their workbooks. J is also reading every day now.
