Spring :)

Since the weather is so great this week we have got a lot done.

* yesterday I organized a park day/get together at PP, lots of kids showed up and played for over 3 hours

*After we went to the Prospect park Zoo and saw the monkeys and meerkats

*got a gift basket from our old neighbors filled with fruit and chocolate thanking us for our kindness (we used to shovel their sidewalk every time it snowed for 3 years) I was soo touched. I don't think I'll ever forget it.

*Freddy tried grapefruit again and decided he likes it after all :)

*found a new fruit/vegetable market on our walk Wednesday, 5 blocks from our apt.

*Went to the library afterwards and borrowed books on biomes and Marie Curie

*Read a lot of poetry this week, A and J love it now

*did 3 chapters in our science book, discussed 2 biomes on earth, the environment and how to take care of it, had a great discussion with A about animals from the deciduous forest and grassland biomes, made me forget she is 5 yrs old :)

*realized that A pays attention to everything we do and retains a LOT of information

*did various math pages with each child (addition and subtraction with J) (counting and number recognition with A) (word problems, rounding, division, odd and even, various other math with F)

*botany class for J, planted 2 different plants in cups and learned how you don't need a seed to get a new plant. She used the original plant's leaves to make another one (hopefully it'll grow roots in 3 weeks).

*did loads and loads of laundry and hung some up on my clothes line outside... am loving this new place

*today is eye Dr. appointments for J and F and DH....
