SNAILS!

I am happy to report that we found 5 more snails to add to the 1 we found last week. The kids were so excited to have all these new pets! I have to admit so was I... we went for a nature walk while the laundry was being done today and found them outside. We bought them home and put them in our enclosure, which is now too small and so we have to buy a big fish tank and put in more rocks, soil, leaves and trees(twigs) for their habitat. The kids sat down with their snail book again and read some more about the kinds of snails we have and their habitat.

It is a nice science project, they learned last month that some snails do not make it after their winter hibernation... hence our dead snail....it was hard for F and I am very glad that it didn't take long to find some more of them.

It rained this morning and the snails came up above ground :).

I love the rain...
